Microbiome Testing

Gut Microbiome Testing
Go beyond a list of microbes. ARK's microbiome-testing pathway combines at-home sampling, laboratory analysis and a professional results consultation so the report can be understood in context.
At-home sampling
Complete the sample collection at home using the instructions supplied with the testing kit.
Detailed laboratory analysis
The current testing pathway uses shotgun metagenomic sequencing to provide a detailed view of the microbial DNA detected in the sample.
Results consultation
A professional consultation is included to help explain what the report shows, its limitations and practical questions that may arise from the results.
What microbiome testing can — and cannot — tell you
A microbiome test can provide information about the microbial composition detected in a stool sample at a point in time. Results should be interpreted alongside the wider clinical and lifestyle context. The test is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, and microbiome findings alone should not be used to diagnose or treat disease.
